Every year, around 20 National Park guides are trained. These ambassadors will help to give visitors a warm welcome and promote the National Park's vision. The training also enables actors from different sectors to enhance and diversify their activities.

What does the training involve?
The National Park guide training aims to offer around 20 candidates each year:
- specific information on the natural and cultural heritage of the south of the Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse region
- basic naturalist training
- practical exercises in guiding and animating groups;
- the opportunity to join a community driven by the vision and values of the National Park
Who is the training for?
The training is open to everyone, but is particularly aimed at people who live or carry out an independent activity in the municipalities of the National Park (Chimay, Couvin, Froidchapelle, Momignies, Viroinval). It welcomes a wide variety of profiles:
- naturalists and nature guides wishing to specialise
- teachers and activity leaders
- municipal employees and foresters
- owners of guesthouses
- tourism operators
- ...

- one-year training (12 days, from April to March)
- 20 places available

Why take this training course?
A must for nature enthusiasts and those passionate about the region, this training course will enable managers of guesthouses and tourism operators to offer an additional service while benefiting from recognition by the National Park. The trained and certified guides will be able to offer paid or remunerated tours within the National Park and will benefit from visibility in our activity catalogue and media.
