How to get there?
Besides the major roads (N5, E420, N99), the National Park is accessible by train via the NMBS/SNCB stations in Couvin and Mariembourg. A network of TEC buses serves many villages and towns. Over 1,000 km of walking and cycling paths await you to explore the National Park on foot (Grande Traversée de la Forêt du Pays de Chimay and GR 125, many loops) or by bike (RAVeL 156, Mille Bornes cycling network).
More practical information
The Aquascope offers a full range of services and activities in the heart of a major natural site in Wallonia: the Virelles pond. Whether you are an experienced birdwatcher or a family that loves exploring nature together, everyone will find something to enjoy.
Discover the Aquascope
By 2026, five spectacular towers will be erected in the municipalities of the National Park. Each will be associated with a key theme of the project and will offer a unique experience closely connected with its environment.
